Your photograph could feature in our 2027 calendar.

The brief
What we are looking for
We are looking for creative, high-quality outdoor, lifestyle and product photography that features a Honey Badger Knife as the main subject.
- The Honey Badger Knife must be clearly visible and remain the primary focus.
- Outdoor, lifestyle, workshop and styled product photographs are welcome.
- All entries must be original photographs taken by the entrant.
- AI-generated images and substantially AI-created or AI-altered images are not permitted.
- Normal photographic editing such as exposure, colour correction, cropping and dust removal is allowed.
- Who may enter? Amateur and professional photographers aged 18 or older.

- Multiple entries Multiple photographs may be submitted, but only one image per entrant may be selected as a Top 20 finalist.
Image requirements
Landscape format only
The Honey Badger Knives calendar is printed in a horizontal format. Your photograph must therefore be landscape. Portrait or vertical photographs cannot be used.

Images downloaded from WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or other social platforms are often compressed and may not meet the quality requirements.

An image that communicates purpose, lifestyle, place or adventure.
Brand fit
The product should feel naturally and authentically represented.
Safe use
Unsafe, reckless or unlawful use will not be accepted.
Selection process
- The Honey Badger Knives judging panel selects the Top 20 eligible photographs.
- Management selects one finalist as the official 2027 Calendar Cover winner.
- The remaining 19 finalists appear in an online public voting gallery for six days.
- Twelve calendar month winners are selected, subject to final verification.
Prizes may be restricted or prohibited in certain countries. Entries are void where prohibited by applicable law.

The Honey Badger Knives 2027 Photo Contest begins on 05 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 SAST on 04 October 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not be considered.
The contest is open to amateur and professional photographers who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, affiliates and immediate family members of Honey Badger Knives are not eligible to enter.
- Entries must feature a Honey Badger Knives product as the primary subject.
- Only submissions made through the entry form on this page will be accepted.
- Entries submitted by email or social media will be disqualified.
- Images must be landscape and meet all technical requirements.
- Watermarks, borders and promotional text should not appear on the photograph.
- AI-generated or substantially AI-created images are not permitted.
- Images must portray the safe, responsible and lawful use of Honey Badger Knives.
- Entries showing dangerous, reckless, harmful or illegal behaviour may be disqualified.
- If an identifiable person appears in the photograph, the entrant confirms that permission has been obtained.
- Images must not depict unsafe, illegal or unethical treatment of wildlife, animals or the environment.
The Honey Badger Knives judging panel will select the Top 20 eligible photographs based on creativity, originality, composition, technical quality, storytelling, brand representation and suitability for the 2027 calendar. Management will then select one finalist as the official 2027 Calendar Cover winner. The remaining 19 finalists will appear in an online public voting gallery for six days.
Honey Badger Knives may remove fraudulent votes or disqualify an entry where vote manipulation, automated voting or other unfair conduct is suspected.
Finalists and winners will be contacted using the email address supplied with their entry. A selected entrant must respond within five business days or an alternate winner may be selected.
Copyright remains with the photographer. By entering, participants grant Honey Badger Knives a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt and distribute the submitted image in print, digital media, advertising, promotional material, social media, galleries and current or future Honey Badger Knives calendars.
Photographer credit will be included wherever reasonably possible. The entrant confirms that the photograph does not infringe the rights of any third party.
- Honey Badger Knives may modify, suspend or update the contest or rules where reasonably necessary.
- Non-compliant entries may be disqualified.
- Honey Badger Knives is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted or failed submissions caused by technical issues.
- Honey Badger Knives reserves the right to determine which images are included in the printed calendar.
- The decisions of Honey Badger Knives and the judging panel are final and binding.
- By entering, participants agree to these official rules.
