You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
You may not:
- Use the website in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, systems or customer information.
- Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful technology.
- Interfere with the operation, security or availability of the website.

Back to top5. Product Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, dimensions and other information displayed on the website are accurate.
However:
- Colours may appear differently depending on the device, screen and display settings used.
- Natural and manufactured materials may display minor variations in colour, texture, finish or pattern.
- Product photographs may include props, accessories or packaging not included with the product unless expressly stated.
- Measurements and weights may be approximate.
- Packaging and minor product details may change without notice where the product's essential characteristics remain materially the same.
These reasonable variations do not automatically constitute defects. Nothing in this section limits your rights where goods materially differ from their description or have a genuine manufacturing defect.
Back to top6. Orders and Contract Formation
Products displayed on the website are invitations to make an offer and do not constitute a binding offer by us.
When you place an order, you submit an offer to purchase the selected products at the displayed price, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
You will have an opportunity to review your order and correct mistakes before submitting it. You are responsible for checking all order information before completing payment, including the product model, size, colour, quantity, delivery address and any engraving instructions.
An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted. A binding agreement is formed when we accept the order by beginning fulfilment, sending a dispatch confirmation or otherwise confirming acceptance.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where:
- The product is unavailable.
- The displayed price or product information contains an obvious error.
- Payment is declined, reversed or cannot be verified.
- We cannot verify the purchaser's identity, age or delivery information.
- We reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct or unauthorised resale.
- The order cannot lawfully or safely be fulfilled.
If payment has already been received for an order that we cancel, we will refund the amount paid using the original payment method.
Back to top7. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Delivery charges, engraving fees and any other applicable charges will be displayed before the order is submitted.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout. Payment services may be provided by third-party payment processors and may be subject to their own terms and security procedures.
We do not store your full credit or debit card details on our website.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method submitted with your order. We may delay or cancel an order if payment cannot be confirmed or is later reversed.
Back to top8. Availability and Pricing Errors
All products are subject to availability. Placing an item in your cart does not reserve it.
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate inventory and pricing information. However, errors may occasionally occur.
If a product is unavailable or incorrectly priced, we may contact you to offer:
- A suitable alternative.
- The opportunity to proceed at the correct price.
- A cancellation and refund.
We will not knowingly accept payment for goods that we do not intend to supply.
Back to top9. Personalised and Engraved Products
Important: Engraved and personalised products are prepared specifically according to the information supplied by the customer. They cannot ordinarily be returned, exchanged or refunded merely because the customer changes their mind or supplied incorrect specifications.
Before submitting an order for engraving or personalisation, you are responsible for carefully checking and confirming:
- The selected knife model.
- The selected handle colour, blade colour, finish or variation.
- The spelling and accuracy of all engraving text.
- Capitalisation, punctuation, dates, initials, symbols and spacing.
- The quantity of products ordered.
We will generally reproduce the engraving text exactly as submitted. We are not responsible for correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, dates, names or other customer-supplied information unless we expressly agree to do so in writing.
Once engraving or personalisation has commenced, the order cannot ordinarily be amended or cancelled.
Personalised Products are generally not eligible for return, exchange or refund where:
- The customer selected the wrong knife model, colour, finish or product variation.
- The customer supplied incorrect engraving text or instructions.
- The customer changes their mind.
- The product is no longer wanted or is unsuitable for the intended recipient.
- The customer does not like the appearance of correctly completed engraving that matches the submitted instructions.
- The product cannot be resold because it has been personalised.
A return, correction, replacement or other appropriate remedy will be considered where:
- We engraved wording that materially differs from the engraving text submitted and confirmed with the order.
- The engraving was materially defective due to our workmanship.
- The wrong product was supplied.
- The underlying product has a genuine manufacturing defect.
Any concern relating to engraving must be reported promptly after delivery and before the product is used, sharpened, modified or damaged. Clear photographs and the order number may be required so that we can assess the matter.
Exceptional returns of correctly engraved products may be considered at our discretion on a case-by-case basis. Agreeing to an exceptional return in one instance does not create an obligation to accept similar returns in future.
Back to top10. Delivery
Standard orders are typically delivered within 3 to 7 working days. Personalised or engraved orders may require an additional 2 to 3 working days for processing prior to dispatch.
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Delivery may be affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, severe weather, public holidays, strikes, civil disruption, address errors, remote-area limitations and force majeure events.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number and any information reasonably required by the Carrier.
Additional delivery charges arising from an incorrect address, refused delivery, repeated failed delivery attempts or failure to collect a parcel may be charged to you.
Where a parcel appears damaged on delivery, you should record the damage with the Carrier where possible and contact us promptly with photographs of the parcel, packaging and product.
Knife deliveries must be received by a responsible adult. We or the Carrier may request identification or proof of age where reasonably necessary.
Back to top11. Risk and Ownership
Ownership of products passes to you only once we have received payment in full.
Risk passes to you once your order has been delivered to you or your authorised recipient.
If you nominate another person to receive or collect an order on your behalf, delivery or collection by that person will be treated as delivery or collection by you.
Back to top12. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Returns and Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
Products returned for a non-defect-related reason must ordinarily be unused, unsharpened, unmodified, undamaged and returned with their original packaging, accessories and proof of purchase.
Products showing signs of use, abuse, negligent handling, accidental damage, improper sharpening, unauthorised repair, disassembly or modification may not qualify for a refund, replacement or exchange unless the product has a genuine manufacturing defect covered by our Warranty Policy.
Engraved and personalised products are subject to the restrictions in section 9 and our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Back to top13. Defective Goods and Warranty Rights
Honey Badger products are backed by our 10-Year Manufacturer's Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please refer to our Warranty Policy for full details.
A product may not qualify as defective merely because of reasonable wear and tear, cosmetic variation, improper use, negligent care, accidental damage or use contrary to supplied instructions.
Warranty coverage does not ordinarily apply to damage caused by:
- Misuse, abuse or use for an unintended purpose.
- Improper sharpening, grinding or blade modification.
- Disassembly or unauthorised repair.
- Exposure to corrosive substances, excessive moisture or inadequate maintenance.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Loss, theft or accidental damage.
- Failure to follow care, maintenance and safety instructions.
Where a product is alleged to be defective, we may request proof of purchase, photographs and return of the product for reasonable inspection.
Where a valid warranty claim is approved, we will repair or replace the product in accordance with our Warranty Policy.

No product description, image or marketing material should be interpreted as encouraging unlawful, threatening, reckless or unsafe use.
Honey Badger Knives is not responsible for injury, loss or damage resulting from unlawful use, misuse, negligent handling, unauthorised modification or failure to follow reasonable safety practices.

- Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login details confidential.
- Providing accurate and current account information.

Back to top17. Intellectual Property
All website content, including trademarks, logos, product names, photographs, graphics, videos, designs, text and software, is owned by or licensed to Honey Badger Knives and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and use the website for personal, lawful and non-commercial purposes.

Back to top18. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may include links to or integrations with third-party services, including payment processors, courier providers and social media platforms.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability or independent practices of third-party websites or services, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.
Back to top19. Privacy and Personal Information

Please review our Privacy Policy for full information about how personal information is collected, used, stored, shared and protected.
Back to top20. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that qualification and to the extent permitted by law, Honey Badger Knives will not be liable for:
- Loss arising from unlawful, reckless, negligent or unintended use of a product.
- Damage caused by improper storage, care, maintenance, sharpening or modification.
- Indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.
- Loss arising from third-party services or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Business losses suffered by a person purchasing products for commercial or resale purposes, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or goodwill.
Any limitation of liability in these Terms and Conditions must be interpreted subject to the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law.
Back to top21. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify Honey Badger Knives against claims, losses or expenses arising directly from:
- Your unlawful use of the website or products.
- Your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- Your infringement of another person's rights.
- False or unauthorised information supplied by you.
- Engraving content supplied by you that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
This indemnity does not apply to loss caused by our gross negligence, wilful misconduct or any matter for which liability may not lawfully be excluded.
Back to top22. Events Beyond Our Control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
These circumstances may include natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, power or telecommunications failures, government restrictions, supply-chain disruption and courier interruption.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of such events and resume performance when reasonably possible.
Back to top23. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint, please contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.
Please provide your order number, contact details, a clear description of the issue and any relevant photographs or supporting information.
We will consider complaints in good faith and respond within a reasonable period.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents a consumer from approaching the National Consumer Commission, a relevant consumer protection authority, an ombud with jurisdiction or a competent court where entitled to do so.
Back to top24. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions and all transactions concluded through the website are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Subject to any consumer rights relating to jurisdiction, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Back to top25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices or legal obligations.
The revised version will be published on this page together with the updated effective date.
The Terms and Conditions in force when an order is accepted will ordinarily govern that order, unless a change is required for regulatory or operational reasons or is expressly agreed with you.
Back to top26. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
A failure or delay by us to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without our prior written consent. We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a genuine business transfer, restructuring or sale, provided that your statutory rights are not reduced.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the policies expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and us regarding use of the website and online purchases.
